Description :

The much-loved Belvedere sits in the centre of Holland Park, offering a dining experience that’s equally suited to a casual bite on a day off or celebrating a special anniversary. Once the summer ballroom of Holland House, its decor is on a grand scale, with swags hung from high ceilings, walls painted eggshell white & ivory linen gracing the tables. The long menu purveys Anglo-French cooking with something for every mood: comfort food along the lines of eggs Benedict, sausage & mash & fish pie is joined by the likes of a rich shellfish bisque flavoured with Cognac & finished with a dollop of cream & an almost-as-rich ballotine of guinea fowl & tarragon with fondant potatoes, spinach & jus gras. Prices are reasonable given the splendour of the setting & extend to a three-course weekend lunch for £25 & an international wine list with good choice under £40.
