The genius of this nifty bar keeps it on the drinkers’ map. While beers & clumsily made cocktails are on offer, you’d be a fool to miss the fine collection of Champagnes sold at seriously low mark-ups. Blackboard specials & limited offers give yet more opportunity to explore the otherwise price-restricted world of bubbly & staff really do know their stuff. Interiors are minimal – walls emblazoned with quotes extolling the virtues of Champagne are as far the decor flourishes go – but the odd mix of luxury amid bareness works rather well. Miniature eats (shots of soup, tiny cones of chips) would be gimmicky if they weren’t made so well.
